Paddle Fest is an Adventurous paddle down the Levisa Fork. A 16.4 mile journey! Bring your own kayak or conoe with you and launch in the river behind Billy Ray's. Watercraft rentals are available. Jenny Wiley Pioneer Festival celebrates the heritage of frontier East Kentucky with live music, food, arts & crafts, turtle races, a parade and much more. The Festival is held the 2nd week in October in downtown Prestonsburg. 606-886-2335

Prestonsburg Sportspark and Equine Center includes baseball, softball, and soccer fields, and new facilities including a show ring, seating and 200 stables. These provisions help conduct multi-day events. 606-886-6390

Elk Tours were reintroduced to Kentucky in 1997 as a restoration project by the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife. From 1997-2003 approximately 1,513 elk were transported into Kentucky. Reproduction has been very high, with approximately 90% of the adult cows producing calves. Currently, the estimated elk population in Kentucky is over 10,000 elk. The best areas for elk habitat are on reclaimed surface mines in Eastern Kentucky. Jenny Wiley State Resort Park is sponsoring seasonal elk tours in the Spring and Fall at a cost of $30/person or $15/children 12 and under. This fee includes your transportation via van to the viewing sites and continental breakfast.
